About

Hort is a PICO-8 game made in 1024 bytes for PICO-1K Jam 2026. Make your own tiny garden in this simple game with some mild challenge and no fixed goals.

Controls

• Use the Arrows Keys to move
• Press and hold X to dig a garden bed (while not carrying anything)
• Flower/fruits and seeds are automatically collected when you walk into them

How to Play

• Collect seeds that fall from the sky and take them to a garden bed to plant them.
• If you don't want to plant a seed take it to the harvest basket at the bottom.
• Collect fruits and take them to the harvest basket to earn more time.
• Create your own garden and have fun!

Tips

• Plan your layout carefully to avoid accidently picking flowers/fruits.
• Harvesting seeds will give you 2 extra seconds
• Harvesting flowers/fruits will give you 8 extra seconds
